Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept returns?

Due to the nature of our hand-made and small-batch organic and seasonal products, we do not offer returns on any of our products at this time

We offer a 30-day product guarantee policy. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with our product, you have 30 days after receiving it to request a refund. We do not refund shipping charges.

If your order arrives incorrect or damaged, please contact us at hello@motherorigin.com within five days of receiving your order and provide a photograph illustrating the quality-related issue or damage during shipment and we will gladly replace the item.

How long will my order take to ship?

Orders usually take 2-7 business days to process and ship. Please understand that we are a very small human-powered business. We will do our best to get your order to you in a timely manner. Mother Origin does not guarantee the arrival time of shipments. Once we release packages to USPS or UPS, all responsibility of its safe and timely arrival is transferred to the shipping company.

Do you ship internationally?

We do not ship internationally at this time.

Why do you use brandy in your postpartum and fertility syrups?

Brandy is used as a preservative in all of our syrups and allows the product to be shelf stable. The amount of brandy in each 16 oz bottle is negligible — about 1/8 teaspoon in each serving of one tablespoon. Thus, it is gentle and safe enough to consume for postpartum and breastfeeding folks and for those looking to improve their fertility. As a clinical herbalist and thoughtful formulator, I value the time-honored tradition of preserving herbal syrups with low-proof alcohol such as brandy.

Is there an expiration date for the syrups?

You can find the expiration date hand-written on the ingredient side of the syrup label. When stored properly in the fridge, it expires 1 year from the date it was made.
